How the practice works

You'll receive a message about a "prize" that's really a trap. After each message, your anti-scam guide points out the warning sign and explains what to do. You choose how to reply and learn without any risk.

Signals you're learning

• It comes from an unknown number or sender
• You "won" something you never entered
• The prize is huge, too good to be true
• They rush you: "claim it now or you'll lose it"
• They ask you to pay something up front to collect
• They ask for your card or bank details

The 3 golden rules

• If you didn't enter, you didn't win. Nobody wins a giveaway they never signed up for.
• A real prize never charges you up front. No "fees", no "taxes", no "shipping". If they ask for money to collect it, it's a scam.
• Never hand over your card details or a code to "collect" a prize. A prize is paid to you, not paid for by you.

Getting it wrong in practice costs you nothing: that's the whole point. In real life, when in doubt, stop and check with someone you trust.
